- The concept and title were conceived by Alan Presley, Ben Starkey, and Alex Stauf in Restoration History class one day during the fall of 2000.
- Nearly all of the movie was filmed during March and April of 2001.
- Cayce Orion is the only person mentioned in the opening credits whose character (JimBob McGump) does not have a direct parallel in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
- Travis Williams was brought onboard as Executive Consultant shortly before filming began. He reviewed the script, made suggestions, and was available on the set during most of the filming. Both Alan Presley and Ben Starkey agree that this was one of the best moves they made.
- A special thanks is given to Jacob Holloway for issuing an interest-free loan to Alan Presley, which made the film possible.
- Scene 1 (everything before the classroom sequence) was actually the last full scene to be filmed.
- Alan Presley twisted his ankle, during a pick-up basketball game, a few days before filming the outdoor shots of scene 1. It was so bad that he couldn't put any weight on it the day after the injury. As a result, Alex Stauf was almost used as a stunt double. However, Alan Presley recovered enough before shooting to be able to do the entire scene himself.
- Using the women's restroom door for the building's entrance in scene 1 was not in the script. Ben Starkey decided to use it on location.
- Alan Presley and Graham Phillips cut out all of the paper spiders used in scene 1 shortly before filming the sequence. Ben Starkey was working on other aspects of the scene during this.
- A blanket and choir boxes were used to create the pit in scene 1.
- Alan Presley and Graham Phillips swung across the pit with the rope many times between takes.
- The bust of Elvis was purchased on eBay. It is still co-owned by Alan Presley and Ben Starkey, each owning 50% of it.
- The "Arnold" sequence at the pit was one of the first non-Indiana Jones parodies that Alan Presley came up with before writing the script.
- Justin Anweiler and Marcus Lease were not asked to play hippies until the day that sequence was filmed. Three other actors had previously agreed to do the scene, but all three backed out at the last minute for different reasons.
- Brandon Marsh had a lot of trouble with his lines during scene 1. The other actors had trouble staying serious because of it.
- The car that Alex Stauf drives in scene 1 is actually Alan Presley's 1988 Oldsmobile. They pass Ben Starkey's 1990 Ford Taurus while driving away.
