Information on the very gorgeous and noble man: Boromir *above* ^^

Boromir was the son of Denthor II, Denthor was the ruling Steward of Minas Tirith in the time of The War of the Ring. Boromir was ambitious, he was said to be, at the time, the greatest warrior in the city and none could oppose him. He was captain of Gondor's army and was one of the only 3 to survive the attacks on Osgiliath, along with his brother Faramir.

Boromir travelled to Rivendell, the House of Elrond, because of a recurring dream that he and his brother had had about 'Isildur's Bane' and he sought Elrond's council. At the Council of Elrond he found out that Isildur's Bane was infact the One Ring, borne by a hobbit named Frodo Baggins from the Shire. He then joined the Fellowship of the Ring, along with Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Pippin, Merry and Sam, to help destroy the Ring. But Boromir has misgivings of the quest and said that the Ring should be used for the defence of Gondor, but he was on his own on that matter and he seemed to change his mind. But it was not so...
