lord of the rings:

in the trilogy billy plays peregrin took (pippin or pip). a young hobbit form the shire (the youngest of the 4 to set out with frodo to rivendell) he is frodos cousin, and best friend to meridoc brandybuck (merry). there is more information about pippin at torn. they also have a lot of info about the books and tolkien

i have decided to update this page a bit with some quote from the book. i'm re reading it at the moment so any good pip quotes i come across i'll add as i find them ;) any spoiler quotes will have a warning :D

Book 1 - Chapter 3 - Three is company

'I could take more yet, sir. My packet is quite light,' said Sam stoutly and untruthfully.
'No, you don't, Sam!' said Pippin. 'It is good for him. (Frodo) He's got nothing except what he ordered us to pack. He's been slack lately, and he'll feel the weight less when he's walked off some of his own.'
- first words of pippin

The song ended. 'And now to bed! And now to bed!' sang Pippin in a high voice.
'Hush!' said Frodo. 'I think I hear hoofs again.'
- pippin putting his foot in it (not that last time)
