I recently went and saw the movie, Garden State and thought it was fairly good. The only element it lacked was was its content.Throughout the movie the director/writer only surfaced on each character's lives and never really dug deep within them. Many critics are comparing it to Lost in Translation, I totally disagree with that statement. Garden State kept my attention the complete opposite reaction i got from Lost in Translation. I found Lost in Translation to be boring and I turned it off after about 30 minutes of viewing it. I feel for this being Braff's first film it would be worth your while to go see it. Here is how I rated it: Plot-67%, Cinematography-88%, directing-90%, Acting-88%, and lastly the overall appeal of the movie would have to be 75%/100%
