But have you ever wondered what is really behind the glowstick? Is there really anyway to properly use them? How many ways you can possibly use that glowing little colored stick? Well your questions are now answered! This is my guide to the use of the glowstick. It will take you through the basics in beginner knowledge and continue on until the advanced levels. It will also take you through some of my favourite ways on using glowstix. I warn you most of this information is best used when one is under the influence of caffeine (Coke, Sprite, chips, cheesies, chocolate, cake and tea work the best) and are experiencing this at the early hours of the morning (somewhere between three and six am preferably).

Chapter One: The Beginner's Basics
Chapter Two: The Warnings

Chapter One: The Beginner's Basics

Glowstix come in a variety of colors, I suggest using your favourite color to achieve maximum fun. There are 6 major glowstick colors - yellow, blue, purple, pink, green and orange. My personal favourite would be YELLOW glowstix, but the others are fun as well. Blue is a disappointment. It is wonderfully blue when glowing in the dark, but as the others retain their colors when glowing is done, blue returns to the clear beginning color (with a slight blue tinge). However I suggest using blue anyway as all the colors are exciting.

Glowstix also come in a variety of forms. Bracelets being one of the favourites, as well as necklaces. However with the necklaces when it says that 2 come in the pack, it means 2 glowstix, not 2 necklaces. Both glowstix will be needed to form a necklace that fits. OR you can buy the necklace, being the same price as ONE bracelet, and get TWO bracelets for the price of ONE. Great tip, eh? Other varieties include earrings, bracelets can also be turned into earrings (see ADVANCED USES for more details), mouth pieces (see WARNINGS for more details), large tubes and other such varieties.

If you are truly a beginner at glowstix you must learn that the first concept is how to get that darn stick a'glowin'. That one's easy, I must say. Simply remove the stick from it's packaging (careful not to lose the connectors) and bend and turn and fold the stick until the entire thing possesses an iridescent glow.

Now that you have the basic knowledge of the glowstick, I highly suggest you tour around this guide and you too will become a GLOWSTICK PRO such as I am.

Chapter One: The Beginner's Basics

Chapter Two: The Warnings
