TEST AREA

I just fulfilled a 40 year old promise to myself...One Day I would own a Corvette, and now I do!

Ever since the early 60's I have wanted a Corvette but was felt it was never in reach. Now, in my 50's (second childhood), I made a decision to sell my wakeboard boat I'd owned for a couple of years and trade my water toy for a land toy, and I could not be happier!
With the proceeds from the sale of my Malibu Wakeboard Boat, I went on the hunt for a Vette and ended up with this super clean White Loaded C-5 - manual six speed. Got a great deal on it and with low miles and 1 year (and/or 10k miles)remain on a GM 'bumper-to-bumper' warranty, I just had to act!

Over 2 wakeboard seasons, I did a LOT of DIY projects on my boat. So, it's time to start the DIY mania on my C5. The first thing was to add some accent lights in the door gills. Looking to keep it easy, I went the LED route, as they are very easy to work with, almost indestructible, and put out good light with minimal drain.

Below are some pics of this very easy DIY project. If anyone would like to know who to do it, let me know. (send me email below) I used 4 red and 1 blue LED. They are powered by the fog light wire/switch, so easy to turn off an on.
Oh Yeah, forgot - this total project cost less than $10, more like less than $7 BUCKS! Scale of Difficulty on 1 (easiest) to 5 (hardest), this is definately a 1 or maybe 2 difficulty. TOOLS - A drill and bits, a saw, soldering gun, black tape, double side stick foam strip, and some tie wraps. Thats all there is to it!
