1. Phantom Planet, 11/25/03, The Scene, San Diego
Kick ass show. They played so incredibly well it was astounding. I've never been part of anything more great, it was one pure long exhilarating orgasm.
2. Aerosmith, 8/26/01, Coors Ampitheatre, Chula Vista
This was the first real rock show I'd ever been to and it was incredible. Aerosmith could kick anybody's ass to the curb with they're shows.
3. The Sounds, 9/30/03, Canes', Mission Beach
The Sounds are fucking amazing, Maja has such christma on stage. She plays between little girl and masculine control. She is fierce and passionate and has a bad boy swagger to boot.
4. Rooney, 9/30/03, Canes', Mission Beach
Energy and chrisma and everything. It wasn't about a show or a spectacle just solid rock songs, no frills. But this time they pulled out no stops and played louder and faster and harder than ever!
5. Rooney, 6/15/03, Coors Ampitheatre, Chula Vista
Short sweet kick ass. They were real and right there. A young band, you could see how much they were learning by the second.
6. Ben Lee, 11/25/03, The Scene, San Diego
Despite what he noted as choas and shit p.diddy would never put up with. Ben Lee made a fan outta me the night he opened for Phantom Planet. He is emotional and full of passion, but he can pull of the best cover I've ever heard of Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" just to kill time. cute hobbit-ness a plus.
7. The Red West, 11/25/03, The Scene, San Diego
Very cool guys. I can definitely see them going somewhere someday. Lead singer Jason may look like a grad student but his sweet voice and tremendous growl will kick YOUR ass.
