Phantom Planet

*Key Tunes*
California
Lonely Day
Anthem
The Happy Ending
By The Bed
Recently Destressed
Somebody's Baby (cover)

My favorite band in the whole wide world. I don't even know what to say. PP is the ultimate. They just changed me. I think I'd be different if I had never heard of Phantom Planet. PP is a huge part of my life. There is not ONE song in memory that I don't like, that I would skip. There are no other artists like that for me. Phantom Planet is original and real and so creative and smart. They really pour their souls out. I love them!
They are also the most down to earth band i've ever seen. They were totally the coolest. Phantom Planet is the first band i've liked in an adult way. They've helped me grow up, but still have fun.
If you EVER get the chance to see them play live I would take it. They play their hearts out every night. they're smart, witty, and all around wonderful musician's whom I admire greatly.

Rooney

If It Were Up to Me
Blueside
the Floor
Sorry Sorry
Simply Because

This is one of the first real bands I've ever gotten into. They're not some huge band. They're not U2 and I love it. I feel like i'm part of a select few to know who Rooney is and able to experience it. I'm not even a super early fan either. I got with the Rooney program a little over a year ago. I've begun a serious love affair with this band. the sound is sooooo tight. i mean seamless perfect. so much detail, dedication. and the guys are the nicest guys. I'm so happy they were the first band I'd ever gotten to meet. I think now if i meet some huge band I could be cool and not piss my pants because Rooney set a great example and were totally real.
Rooney has amazing songs. they're cute and catchy and so funny. Since the beginning Rooney has had it. Everyone should listen to Rooney once.

Good Charlotte

Motivation Proclimation
The Click
Christmas By The Phone
Superman Can't Walk
Wondering
Movin' On
The Innocent (w/ Mest and Goldfinger)

Okay, I should not be embarressed to like good charlotte. they are a good little band. they really are. i like their songs, they're catchy and sometimes witty and have heart and emotions and i can relate sometimes. the whole "punk/not punk" thing bothers me because i've never had a desire to be a punk. i'm not punk. no one should call me that. i didn't look at GC and want to listen to them because they dress like punks. they're music is pop rock and to call it differently is stupid. it's not punk, i don't believe that even exists. in music. punk was about doing things differently, an alternative lifestyle to corporate sheep. punk is not 3 chords or liberty spikes or lip rings.i don't give a shit if gc wants to wear pink jumpsuits or wear tight pants or wear baggy jeans and tees. if the music is good, it's good. good charlotte appeals to me. yes, yes i do think they're hot and why is that a crime? why am i a teenie? because i said "Benji is hot, i'd like to bang him" my mom says those things about mel gibson, is she a teenie too? huh? dumbass. why don't people stop paying attention to what other fans think. do you think your well placed, "Damn teenie" is going to make us say "oh, i take it back he's not hot." having fantasies about celebrities or even people you know is a normal part of life, deal with it! go ahead fantasize, it's not fucking wrong.
i've exhausted my piece.

New Found Glory

*key tunes*
"My Friends Over You"
"It's All Downhill from Here"
"Hit or Miss"
"Understatement"

Okay, so I haven't heard all their stuff and maybe I can't tell one from the other and maybe I think Jordan Pundik has a really annoying voice, I still also believe they are kick ass. See I'd heard tons about them. I knew who they were, long before a note reached my ears (that seems to happen to me a lot). Anyway, I'd heard of them. And I remember liking their song "Head on Collision" (that video was funny!). My younger cousin had a giant CD booklet he found in the park. NFG's "Sticks and Stones" was inside. He gave it to me and I fell in love, even if the CD skipped a lot. I ended up buying the CD brand new. I listen to it all the time. Constantly forgetting that there is a hidden track 24 minutes into the last track, it scares the hell out of me everytime. While it confuses me that I love them despite how annoyed I am by Jordan's whine, I do love them! go NFG!!
