Any series dedicated to Anilda would be incomplete
without Lata. So I am contributing this Lata solo under
Anilda Series. It is a classic and would represent Lata
very capably in the series even on its own.

To hear this song is to know why a composer of Sudhir
Phadke's calibre was overjoyed when someone wondered
whether 'baandhi preeti phuul-Dor' was Anilda's. Phadke
said he was happy that at least one of his songs was
considered being worthy of Anilda's class. (Of course,
Phadke was being modest.) To hear this song is to know
why Anilda said that the MDs considered Lata to be God's
gift to them when she arrived in a big way in 1948.
