Uzumaki
I'm gonna review this movie since this is the first japanese 'horror' movie I've watched. Well this takes place I assume in somewhere Japan. The town has been cursed where people fear swirls or something related to it. I think they either have a fear or the swirl curse has made them become crazy. It shows a main character which is a girl who sees all kinds of crazy swirl related inncidents. Her father eats this swirl like food which the mother made. This guy gets in a car crash and I think his eyes have swirls too or something. For some strange reason some peole turn into snails and crawl on the walls of the school. There's also a girl who's hair is all big and swirly...that's really freaky. There is also this crazy woman who cuts off her finger tips and ears because they all have swirly stuff. The main character's friend who is a guy and was her trusty friend all along somehow goes crazy also and tries to kill her. I'd like to tell you the ending but I forgot it. A lot of things are unexpected and the plot doesn't make much sense...but...japanese people don't really care if their plots make sense at all. Right?

My rating:
Excitement: 8/10
Interest: 8/10
Freakyness: 8/10
Uniqueness: 9/10
Overall Rating: 8/10

It was very freaky and eerie. It's worth a look see, but remember, all japanese movies are inconclusive and ambiguous.

Battle Royale
Yeah, I finally watched it. Thanks to roomjah for mentioning the movie on his page or else I would`ve never known about it. Alrighteo people, now time for me to talk about it. The main 2 characters are Shuya and Noriko, the two `love birds` and they make sure each other are okay in this so called law of `Battle Royale` in which the class 3b or something are chosen to be in. These 9th graders [or 7th graders...not so sure] are brought to an island where they are told to kill each other within 3 days
until there is only one survivor left. The reason to this is really stupid. It says that they have to do this because they somehow `mock` the adults. Confusing as the reason to this killing, the people are confusing as well. Until I did some research on the movie inwhich some sites makes the movie clearer then I finally got it. The teacher that somewhat controls this years BR, he likes Noriko since she`s the only one who I guess, repects him so he wanted her to be the survivor. Many had had the chance to
escape with their friends but because of mistrust or someone else destroying the plans they had, they couldn`t make it. There are 2 people who keeps killing people and their names are Mitsuko and well I forgot the guy`s name. The first person to kill someone is a fat guy. DAMN FAT GUY! Well, I don`t
want to spoil it for people who want to watch it but haven`t yet all I`m gonna say is that the survivor isn`t just one person. One more thing, inorder for the movie to make some sense you need to pay attention to EVERYTHING and think through it.

My rating:
Excitement: 7/10
Interest: 8/10
Freakyness: 7/10
Uniqueness: 9/10
Overall Rating: 8/10

It wasn`t a too good of a movie as in it didn`t turn out to be the way I imagined it. It could`ve been better. A lot of things were unclear and confusing. I think if I can read the book maybe the book would be better.
