Why you say "I love you" and then hold out a hardened hand
You pull me one way and then push me another
My love for you confuses me, I long for you no other
Yet here I lie, with you yet all alone
Tears run from my eyes as my heart turns to stone
I cry out to the heavens, a scream fallen on a deaf ear
Trapped in a world of misery, more than my heart can bare
To be told I'm loved, yet recieve no affection
I'm dying inside and there seems no redemption
And yet life goes on, or so I am told
It's a part of life, for both young and old
