02.13.2008 Hola Hombres, how you been? Sorry I havent rapped at you in a while but these last three years have basically flown by. So what is up with YOUR 'Above Average' homies? Well, as you can see above, we finally got one of our videos online. This video, entitled 'Lotski Cops' is a Nick Herrold Bong Hoot in conjunction with 'Above Average' Productions. It stars both Steve and Reese, with special cameos by Jay Cully, Nick, and Amanda and some random guy in the hallway. This video represents the begining of a very sexy (business) relationship between the 'Above Average' boys and Nick. We can only hope for future collaborations between these geniuses in the future.
While it may seem that Nick is a new addition to the 'above average' family there is quite a history between us. I still remember the night when Nick, Steve, and Reese drove to the Irish Supporters Club in Mississauga and began work on their opus cleverly entitled ' Three guys, some empty glasses, and a bag of crisps'. |
That night was very productive, and although no one remembers exactly what the plot of the movie was about, everyone agrees that it was perhaps the finest piece of cinema to be created since bill met ted and they began their most excellent of adventures. Sadly, that script was the last work the 'above average' boys would collaborate with nick on. Busy schedules and one persons obsession with sailor moon would prevent the two groups from working together until the production of 'Lotski Cops'.
Although it might have seemed like the 'above average' boys were out of the movie making game, the recent success of rip-off artists (Flight of the Conchords, Clark and Michael) has forced us back into the ring. Reese (a graduate of the Toronto Film School), Nick (a graduate of the film program at Seneca college at York University), and Steve (local man) have begun an all out assault on the Canadian Film Industry. All thanks to the internet!
