Born to a set of parents of eastern decent that were abiding in a quiet villiage. War struck the peaceful abode and many casualties were claimed. The young babe was taken as was every child under the age of eight for their furture army ranks. Parents slaughtered without remorse by the black sand army.

Ruled by a powerful leader which with his wisdom created a new army every year. Each taken child was trained in the royal courts at combat and defense. Some picked up traits quicket than others. The stolen child grew with time and seemed to learn at an unfathomable rate. He surpassed all his teachers quickly growing in favor in the king's sight.

The time came to test the adolecent in battle. Sent to the forefront of a raging war the desert shiek trounced the band of swordsman without a single scar to show for it. Unbeatable he seemed, an expert in stradegy and skill. Deadly as they come he just could not be stopped. Many nights assassins tried to raid the camp and pick off this supreme soldier of the black sand army. All attempts failed as he quickly ended each attacker's life without remorse. Finding the camp had no more teaching to offer he addressed the King.

Angered by his incompitance the King sent the man away from the camp. All the soldiers were then rallyed to move out and destroy the departed soldier. The entire black sand army never returned. During his journey the arabian was offered countless positions to join the ranks of large armies. He refused most offers until he found one such camp that seemed to prove better than the rest. This particular army had no leader, no King, only generals. Taking the challenge to become the King, by way of beating every challenger of the army, the Acolyte succeded. Astounded by his leadership skills and deadly fighting ability they bowed to his wishes.

The army conquered many foes in their time, as the king became even more and more cold hearted. Hatred for life just eminated from his form. One fateful night a travelling wagon of Gypsies passed through the desert plane. The king just finished from a raid in the nearby village overeturned the caravan to take the spoils. One gypsy wielded strange magic which paralyzed the kings forces and sent the Acolyte a sickness into his body that would turn him into what he had become on the inside.

With the curse upon him, he now had a new purpose. Until he repayed his debt her would live forever without feeling, without the pleasures of a woman's touch, leaving him a walking corpse. Still in the condition he was before, and just as adept at fighting, now the Acolyte moves to correct the mistakes in his past, by repaying with goodness and honor. Looking foward to the one day when he will be restored and the curse would be broken. Retaining a new title and a new name. Xanathos left his kingdom and travels the realms defending the just and punishing the wicked. Always with the reminder under his garb of his cursed past.
