The Ollie

First you have to have your feet in the correct positioning. Put your back foot on the tail of the board, and your front foot just behind the screws. Now here comes the hard part, the movement. First, pop your tail down, until it hits the ground. By pop I mean slam it down. As the tail hits the ground slide your foot up the board. Your toe will catch the nose of the board and it should bring the board of the ground. When you get into the air try to flatten out the board. To get as high as possible, suck your feet in like a vaccum when you reach the peak of your ollie. As you start to fall put your legs down, and when they touch the ground, have your legs act like shocks and absorb the fall. That's it, now just ride away.

The Varial

The first step is to get you feet right. Put your back foot like you would on an ollie. Put your front foot in between the middle of the board and the front screws. Now here comes the tricky part, the movement. Sweep your back foot around underneath you. It should start to spin a 180. Make sure that you stay above the board. When it spins the rest of the way around, plant your feet on it. Now just ride away.

The 50/50 Grind

Put your feet in the regular ollie position Roll at a moderate to fast rate of speed Roll parallel to the curb Now just ollie, move the board on to the curb. Try to manouver it so both of the trucks are "grinding." That is the curb's edge is running down the middle of both of the trucks. You should slide along the curb at least a few inches. When you feel that it's time to get off, or you start to slow down, just ollie off, or pivot off on the back truck. Then just keep practicing and practicing, until you get it down pat.

5-0 Grind

The first step is to learn the 50-50 grind. Even though you should already know the steps to the basic grind, I'll go through them again just for the heck of it. Approach the curb, bench, tree, rail, rock whatever, and prepare to ollie (make sure you're going at the object at a slight angle). Put your front foot in between the front screws and the middle of the board. Put your back foot on the tail, like usual. As you get close to the object, ollie. Instead of landing on both of your trucks, land on just your back one. To practice landing like this, ollie up to a curb, and land on your back wheels. This is called a manual, or a wheelie. You might have to get quite a bit of speed to slide far. When you feel yourself slowing, just pivit off. Or if your on a rail, ride it all the way out. There you go, now stop looking at the screen, and go try it.

Boardslide

The first step is to learn the ollie. Here's the steps for the slide. Approach the curb, bench, tree, rail, rock whatever, and prepare to ollie (make sure you're going at the object at a slight angle). Also make sure your feet are set right. Put your front foot in between the front screws and the middle of the board. Put your back foot on the tail, like usual. As you get close to the object, ollie. Instead of just ollieing straight though, turn at a 90 degree angle also If you do this right you should land on the object with the middle of the board Don't worry about board crackage, just ride. The easiest way to get off is to ride off the end of whatever it is, and turn back 90 degrees

Kickflip

It's foot positioning is slightly different from the ollie's. Your back foot still goes on the tail of the board. The front foot goes just behind the screws, like the ollie, except your heel has to hang off of the heel edge. Now pop your back foot down. Instead of just sliding it forward, slide it off of the heel edge also. Try to stay centered above the board as it spins under your legs. Be sure to stay well above it. As it finishes the final turn land on the top and roll away.

Heelflip

Place your front foot center on the board Now pop the tail of the board down Slide your front foot up like an ollie, except instead of just slideing up, slide your foot off the toe edge of the board This will send the board spinning in the opposite direction of a kickflip Like the kickflip, and every other trick, stay centered above the board as it spins When it gets all the way around land and ride away off into the sunset.

180 Kickflip

Position your front foot as you would for a kickflip, and your back foot like a Pop-Shove-It(also known as a variel) Swing your back foot underneath you as you would for a Pop-Shove-It As it swings under you, flip your foot out like a kickflip As it finishes the 180 and the kickflip land you feet on the top of the board.

Noseslide

This is sliding across something with your nose. Ok go towards the object, and do what you normally do with a deck slide, except this time, don't move your board all the way over it. Land your nose on it, lean into it. You should be able to slide. Just keep trying it, and soon it will be easier.

360 Flip

The 360 flip is what you might call a "compound trick" because it actually combines two tricks, the kickflip and the 360 shove-it. To do a 360 flip, you should position your front foot like you would for a kickflip, with your toe slid back toward the heel-edge of the board. Your rear foot should be positioned with your toe on the opposite corner of the board, namely the toe-edge of the tail. Rolling at a moderate to slow speed, pop an ollie, but as you kick your front foot for the "flip," swing your back foot underneath and behind you 360-shove-it-style. This will rotate the board around as it spins. The whole thing should take about the same amount of time a kickflip does, so you won't have to "hang" in the air any longer. When the nose comes back around and the griptape side shows upward, stick your feet back on and land it.
