!!!WARNING!!!
Manufacture and use of high explosives is very dangerous and generally looked upon even more poorly than other explosives. If you intend to make/use HE's, be aware that many primary explosives are far more dangerous than LE's (with a few exceptions) and you will probably face more severe penalties if caught making/possessing/using HE's.

If you want to make HE's, I STRONGLY suggest you get firmly grounded in the use of LE's first, and read as much as you can (The E&W Forum is a good place to look) first. Primary explosives can be VERY dangerous in the hands of an inexperienced/foolish person, and their manufacture and use is not to be taken lightly. Secondary explosives are in most ways safer, but with potentially more dangerous synthesis procedures (runaway reactions, NO2 gas etc).

Info/Experiments:

HE Chemicals - Info on different chemicals used for high explosives.
Detonators and Boosters - To set of secondary explosives, you'll need one or both of these.
H2O2 Concentrations - Comparing 35%, 3%, and boiled 3%.
HCl vs. H2SO4 - Comparison between the two acids in AP synthesis.

Explosives:

AP - Acetone Peroxide, probably the most common homemade HE.
HMTD - Related to AP, takes a bit more work.
MEKP - Another explosive peroxide, but in liquid form.
NC ñ Nitrocellulose, an HE also used in guns and as a rocket propellant.
AN based explosives ñ Will be done at some point.
TNP ñ Tried it once, messed up, will try it again when I have time.
HDN ñ Tried twice without success, drying may have been the problem.
CTMTNA - Have all materials needed, will make eventually.
NG - Have all materials needed, will make eventually.
