Northern District Rottweiler Club - Specialty Show
13th & 14th September 2008 - Hillsborough Show grounds
JUDGE: Ilona Y. Onstenk-Schenk
RESUME: As an only child I was born into a family of Boxer fanciers. From the early possible age my parents took me to every dog show my father had entered, all over Western Europe. As soon as I was able to handle a Boxer, I do so. My late husband had owned Dobermans and Miniature Schnauzers, he was a judge and during a long time chairman of the Dutch Doberman club so when we got married, we owned 2 boxers and 1 Doberman. In 1971 I passed for my judge examination for Boxers, in 1976 for Great Danes, in 1980 for Dobermans and in 1984 for Rottweilers. Friends of mind had 2 strong, nice Rottweilers (imported from Norway). And as a young child I always played with them. Since that time I was interesed in the breed. Now I am a group judge of F.C.I. group 2 and I will finish this year F.C.I group. I judge approximately 45 times a year, all over the world. I judged the Rottweilers on CC and CACIB shows in nearly all the countries of Europe, and in Canada, USA, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, South-Africa, Israel and Indonesia. I judged 3 times the Rottweiler CC show of the Rottweiler Association in England. Each time I had many entries with real quality dogs. I judged a few years ago in New Zealand the CC Boxer show and CC Doberman show. Since a long time I am in the committee e of the Dutch judge club, who organise all the breed examinations for the Dutche Kennel Club. Many times I was examiner also during the Rottweiler examination. ANd I have alot of work for training people, who want to become a judge. I give this practical training for many breeds. I am very pleased with the invitation to judge the Rottweilers in Australia in 2008 and I hope there will be alot of entires and many nice dogs. With Kind regards, Ilona Y. Onstenk-Schenk
