I'm in Stone Mountain, GA on vacation, so I have very little news about my
fish. Before I left, my biggest pl*co had a slightly large belly and so I
went scampering off to find out what was up - was it pregnant?! Well, as it
turns out, pl*cos can get "big belly" for a number of reasons; too much
food, hard water, intestinal worms, or infections.
My plan was to stop feeding them for a couple of days, change a few gallons
of water per day and then if that one still had a big belly, I'd give it
some medicine. I got word today via cell phone (Isn't technology great?!)
that the pl*co with a big belly has gotten a little better and isn't as fat
as before. So, maybe it's that I overfed them.
I guess we'll find out when I get home on Sunday (or Tuesday depending on
whether I can get a grip on my panic attacks :( ).
Happy Fishing!
