Hmong mean a blooming fertize. We (most of the hmong people) are from Laos and Thailand. Our grandparent went throuht alot of stage to get here now in California. The elders took all the painful time and stress just for our parent and us. They did everything that they can just for their childern. They have to plant wheet in order to feed their family every year and while the years going to end; new year come along.Everybody in the family help perpared for the new year just so everyone is happy.

mong song's comes from anyone who is instered into signing. It's not like american people where you have to join in American Idol just to be a popular signer or become a movie star. The person that is inserted in it just have to have all the material and band for it. The song that are sing comes from most of what the person going through.It could be from the bottom of their heart and has alot of meaning to it.The singer will have to use their own pocket money.

Hmong food are very good! It can be very spicy. It all depending on who is making it.There are alot of food that can be cooked with chicken, beef ,pork, and other animal. As long as you have all the ingerent then the food will taste good. Hmong food are different from other asian food. They might look the same but, there not. They all have a different taste to it (such as what you put in it.)We have food for breaskfast, lunch, and dinner just like American people does.

There are two kind of language that we hmong people speak. Which there are green and white language. There are two way of spelling hmong beacuse of green and white. The green people they spell it without the H. But white people does.

In thailand or Laos girl/women has no right to go to school beacuse they need top stay home and help out their mother. But boy/mens could go to school which some of them are not interset in.For example on the bottom has an art sewing that some lady made. however, these picture are story from the old days and they are ture.

My family name is FANG! I'm not sure what that means. However their are more last name of the hmong culture. For rxample: Vang, Thao, Lee, Her, Xiong,Yang,Moua,Hang,Lo, and Lor,etc.. Their are plenty of different one out there to that i might not name yet though.

Our religion is very different from many other ones. depending on what you belief. for example do you believe in church or in spirtual. well,my family believe in spritual where we do alot of spritual on specail occasion.

Tradition is the main part of our life. (well to my father and his parents to his granparents.)The elders plans is to keep this tradition on from generation to genrations. But as the younger teenager grow up to be adult. Some would rather not learn it. But, it's alos exciting if you do learn it.

As a child raisnig up yo be an adult your parent should of told you most of the storie in the back of the days. These storie are ture from long long time ago. and it's pass on to genrations to genrations. as for me i heard some of the storie. there are exciting one and scarey one the happy and romatic one too.

In our culture the heritage for the young women is when they get married their mother and father wishes them good luck and perpare some of the hmong clothing for thier daughter.Because that help perpare the daughter life.But as for the men their to keep their last name popular and repersent their father when they are not there anymore.
