Searching
She was at her computer late at night with only the illuminating light from the monitor as a guide as she typed searching and looking to find the thing she’s been looking for to feed her need for the answers to her questions.
She was on Google looking until she accidentally clicked on a link. She read the contents on the page carefully. She took a closer look to see if she read it better that way.
‘You know that’s not going to help’ she thought to her self. ‘It’s in a different language. But what nationality is it?’
She scrolled the mouse just a little until she saw a word that resembled closely to what she’s been looking for. She clicked on it.
It was a chat room. She entered the chat room as guest495. Everyone was chatting away fine until guest495 showed up on the screen and everyone stopped.
‘Okay,’ she thought. ‘Weird.’
Then someone with a name resembling something close to Darien typed, “You have a lot of questions that are unanswered I see.”
“Well yes,” She typed
“Ask away.” Darien typed.
“This might sound ridiculous but do vampires exist?”
“Why yes they do.”
“I could very easily take that as an answer but I need some true facts to prove that they do really exist. I’ve read folklore, I’ve read newspaper and magazine articles, I’ve searched all across the internet, I’ve read hundreds of books, but nothing as proven that to me. I need a better answer than that.”
She felt a little frustrated. She has been searching everywhere for the truth and yet she has found nothing.
“I assure you my answer is nothing but the truth. You are but human are you not?” Darien then typed.
“Yes what else would I be?”
Now she was confused.
“You could be like me.” There was a short pause because up to this point Sarah didn’t know how to answer. Then he continued, “And like the rest of us here.”
Sarah felt a strange cold, tingling feeling on the back of her head. She began to feel nervous and for no reason at all was looking around her dark room from her computer desk.
“Be like you how exactly?” Sarah typed with less confidence than she had before.
“Like a vampire.” Only it didn’t appear on screen she heard the comment like someone behind her had said it in a man’s voice with a smooth accent.
She felt a hand on her right shoulder. She turned in that direction to see a tall man with dark deep brown eyes and dark wavy medium length hair standing beside her.
“Like a vampire, Sarah.” As he talked she could see long sharp teeth that would be his, fangs?!
Sarah started to shake and gasped.
“My,” He said with a smile showing his fangs clearly so she could see how sharp they were. “You’re more beautiful than I expected you to be. I have been searching for you like you’ve been searching for me.”
That’s when Sarah screamed.

Sarah woke up gasping and she was drenched in sweat. She felt scared and oddly enough she even felt aroused. She closed her eyes and took deep breathes. She had to calm herself down to gain her senses back. Sarah opened her eyes slowly and saw that she was on her bed. Just like that she was on top of her bed. Not under the covers or even in her pajamas. She didn’t even remember how she ended up laying on her bed in the first place. Even her computer was off.
The oddest thing out of everything else was her white buttoned up shirt. It wasn’t even buttoned up it was buttoned all the way open exposing her white lacey bra.
“Okay,” She said to herself. “I can’t remember unbuttoning my shirt. The only reason why I ever do that was if I was flashing someone or if I started to get undressed to get ready for bed but was to lazy or tired to finish dressing.” Sarah had to think up things that would make her laugh. Especially after that dream she had last night.
“Oh well,” she said to herself. “A dream is a dream. It’s nothing to dwell over. Just get some clothes for a shower and you’ll be ready to go.”
Sarah jumped out of bed and took a peek outside. It was dreary out side. Most people hated the rain but Sarah actually loved the rain. She looked at it as a cleansing shower for the earth.
Sarah walked over to her dresser that had a very large mirror on top of it. She couldn’t help but look at herself. She wasn’t at all vain. She just has very high self esteem about her body.
Sarah looked at herself up and down in the mirror. She has an average female body with a lot of curves and thin waist which was something to be proud of for an 18 year old. Her favorite feature about herself would be her face. She has dark brown eyes which she got from her mother and they also have a slight Native American look to them too. Which, she also got from her mother. She has her father’s nose which is small and proportional with her face and she has full lips. Not like plastic surgery full or injected with fat full, like the just right full lips naturally. And she has long wavy dark brown hair which needed to be brushed.
Sarah went to pick up the brush until she noticed a discolored spot on her neck. It looked like a hickey. But that’s strange she doesn’t have a boyfriend and she wasn’t with anybody last night.
Or was she? Sarah remembered her dream from last night and the man that showed up out of no where in her room. Was that a dream?
‘Why can’t I remember anything from last night?’ She thought to herself. ‘The only clue I have is my computer because that’s where my dream began.’
And with that she buttoned up her shirt and her pants (after she noticed that too) and started searching again for answers…to a different set of questions.
