NEW YORK CITY

MANHATTAN

*New York City* New York City is a world icon. Superb architecture, the world's greatest theatre district, some of the most renowned galleries and museums anywhere, eclectic neighborhoods, cultural events and fantastic restaurants-New York City has it all. It would take a lifetime to experience everything New York offers, but for a good, general introduction, be sure to visit the observation tower at the top of the Empire State Building, take in a performance at Lincoln Center, browse the Guggenheim Museum and see the United Nations Building. Take a trip to see the Statue of Liberty and don't miss historic Ellis Island.

*SoHo, New York City*During the last decade, Soho has become a lively marketplace for contemporary design, collectibles, antiques, and furniture. No other neighborhood in New York City offers such a concentrated mix of unique shops carrying quirky stuff, national and international name-brands, and one-of-a-kind luxury items. Not only is SoHo very fashionable district, it is the center of modern artistic break-throughs and trendy living.

*Chinatown, New york City* Today's Chinatown is a tightly-packed yet sprawling neighborhood which continues to grow rapidly despite the Chinese communities in Queens. Both a tourist attraction and the home of the majority of Chinese New Yorkers, Chinatown offers visitor and resident alike hundreds of restaurants, fruit and fish markets and shops of knickknacks and sweets on torturously winding and overcrowded streets.

*Greenwich Village* Greenwich Village - also known as the West Village or the Village - is more upscale than the East Village and is the original corner of cool, the closest any American neighborhood comes to a corner of Paris. This part of town has been home to artists and writers, nonconformists, entertainers, intellectuals, and bohemians since the turn of the 20th century.

*Midtown* Midtown is the center of many visitors' trips to New York City. It s home to the famous Tmes Square and Broadway, the theater district as well as many hotels and popular restaurants. Midtown is probably the main stop for tourists visiting New York City. It is also an extremely busy area.
