Immigration. Well, hello: I have Mescalero Apache blood in me. I also have Irish/Scotch/English blood in me.
The Amerinds were here FIRST. Blood ties--ancestors--to them, in me. Many tribes... Lakota Sioux, Commanche, Apache, Navajo, Dakota, Kickapoo, Cheyanne, Blackfoot, Crow, many tribes of The People. Were some of them immigrants? Possibly. Before recorded history.
The Europeans--French, English, Scotch, Irish, even Spanish--came from across the seas to pilage and rape and destroy and spread veneral disease and steal... and warfare. Aztecs and Incas original Peoples of Mexico, I believe? Europeans in North America, Spanish in South America and Mexico, moving relentlessly toward one another to warefare (fuck the Indians) in what is now Texas, Arizona, Utah, California. Neither the northern Europeans NOR the Spanish without guilt in the annihilation of the native peoples of South and North America, and Mexico. The Spanish are IMMIGRANTS to MEXICO. Too bad our friggin' politically-correct so-called public schools do NOT teach REAL history anymore... Idiot Generation continues to grow...
BUT: I am an American, and a Texan. I have NOTHING against LEGAL immigration to America. The current problem lies in the fact that Europeans and Middle Easterners and Northern Europeans and Spaniards and Russians must enter America through controlled ports of entry, be those airports or seaports. People from Mexico do NOT have to do so: so, there is no immigration control PHYSICALLY in Texas, Arizona, Utah, and California. This is why the focus, and the touted crisis, involves MEXICAN immigrants and illegal aliens in America. Those who are not familiar with the physical separation between the United States and Mexico, do not understand the sheer almost-impossibility of "securing" that border: I am familiar with it, and it is country that is empy, vast, and while rugged, easily travellable by those with determination for a "better life".
Bottom line: if you want the perks, you pay your taxes. You contribute to those who come after you by sacrifice, military service, learning ENGLISH (I speak and read Spanish, by the way, for those who want to wag the "prejudicial finger" at me), BECOMING LEGAL law-abiding American citizens, getting with the program. Period. Mexico is anti-immigration. Believe it, it is a fact, but, fucking media are not going to say that: you can't be naturalized, you can't own major property, you don't get a free ride, you can't hold certain jobs, if you're not native-born. Vicente Fox is NOT an ally, or a friend, of Americans, whether black, Hispanic, White, Asian, Arabic, whatever. Mexican children are taught in their public schools that America STOLE Texas, Utah, Arizona, and California from Mexico. That is a fact, verified by the former director of the Immigration and Naturalizion Service in a letter to Bill Frist, United States Senate.
There are at least two known Al-Queda terrorist training camps in Mexico, one near the Texas border.
Bottom line: regardless of what we "do" with the current population of illegal immigrants in America, we MUST secure our physical borders to the south. We must enforce the "if you want to benefit from America, you must become an American citizen". One flag, one language, OFFICIALLY. One ALLEGIANCE. Preserve your Mexican, English, Scottish, Irish, American Indian, Polish, Middle Eastern, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Puerto Rican, Danish, Swiss, Icelandic, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, French, Bosnian, Canadian, South American, Australian, whatever culture and language; but, in public, also BE AN AMERICAN. Pledge allegiance to AMERICA'S flag. Speak AMERICA'S language. Support AMERICA'S entitlement programs through your TAXES for those who REALLY need it. Serve in AMERICA'S military. EARN your priviledges and citizenship, the burdens as well as the benefits. Or suffer the consequences.
I judge NO individual by the color of their skin, their religion, their national origin, their heritage, their first language... including the Europeans whose blood is mixed in my Mescalero Apache blood... on that. I DO judge on whether or not you want to suck Americans--native born as I am or immigrants who are legal--dry, while enjoying the benefits without the burden; and I damn sure judge you if you want to kill Americans of ALL heritages because of your religion or political parties or radical, terrorist agendas.
At least I am honest: I am not a hypocrite. I call it like I see it, and stand by it.
