Texas vs. Texas A&M: 46-15 Owning - Gavin
We did it, baby! We're as good as in a BCS Bowl if the Sooners win on Saturday. What is in store for the Longhorns? A trip to Phoenix? Or maybe a week long vacation in Pasadena? Hopefully we are able to get out of Texas! Hook 'em, Horns.

Game Week #12: Texas A&M - Gavin
There is one thing left to do this season: Finish.

We've said it all year. It has been our motto all along. Beat A&M, and everything will take care of itself. We had a rocky start, but as always, it's not where you begin, it's how you finish. It all comes down to this. Hook 'em, for Texas.

Texas vs. Texas Tech: 43-40 Win - Gavin
This game was gut wrenching. Tech always gets up to play Texas. It was without a doubt one of the best games I've ever seen at DKR Stadium, and it's so great to come out of it with a win. It was Senior Night in Austin and our seniors certainly had their moment to shine one last time at home before all of their fans. They played a great game! Let's keep this "winning" trend going, and finish our season strong in the Rose Bowl.

Game Week #11: Texas Tech - Gavin
Well, there's only 1 thing for us to do this week. What is that? Wail on Texas Tech. Hook 'em Horns, and take it to those punk Red Raiders for their upset of us last year.

Texas vs. Oklahoma State: 55-16 Wailing - Gavin
Now this is the kind of game I love to see. Texas has a rocky start in the first half and then thinks to themselves, "Hey, we should probably start to play now." From that point on, we never looked back. 48 unanswered point. OSU was shut out completely in the 2nd half... and the best part is, these last 2 games were our toughest remaining on the season. There is no reason why we shouldn't be able to take it to the house against Tech and A&M. If we take care of the rest of our business, we are everything but locked into a good BCS bowl. There were a ton of upsets over the weekend as well, so we will be ranked as high as 7 in the polls now. Let's keep it up and FINISH this season strong.

Game Week #10: Oklahoma State - Gavin
It's on baby. Our convincing win over top ranked Nebraska was exactly what this Texas team needed. We're going to bring it into Stillwater this week. I really wish OSU had beaten the Sooners, but since they lost to OU, they may as well lose to us. Hook 'em.

Texas vs. Nebraska: 31-7 Beating - Gavin
This was our best game of the season so far. We ran the ball incredibly and Nebraska looked like children out on the field. Our defense was also spectacular. There was absolutely nothing Nebraska could do right. If we play like this for the rest of the season, Texas won't lose another game.

Game Week #9: Nebraska - Gavin
We have a big game against Nebraska this week. This should be another great game, and Texas should pull out the win. We match up really well with the Corn Huskers and the team and I are very excited.

Texas vs. Baylor: 56-0 Shutout - Gavin
The team sure looked great against lowly Baylor. It's always good when a defense has a big shutout. Texas has shown that it doesn't plan on quitting this season, but there is still a tough road ahead.

Game Week #8: Baylor - Gavin
This week should be another cakewalk. Texas should enjoy it while they can, as we will have no such luxury in our final 4 regular season games. We're playing hard, but we really need a Sooner loss to revitalize our BCS hopes. Beat Baylor.

Texas vs. Iowa State: 40-19 Rout - Gavin
Texas came out really strong against ISU and showed that they aren't ready to throw in the towel on this season yet. The best play of the game was Roy Williams passing a 50-yarder to BJ Johnson. There was some great offensive play-calling today. Hook 'em!

Game Week #7: Iowa State - Gavin
No sense now dwelling upon what could have been, we have a new team to beat. Texas will blow Iowa State out for sure. I feel sorry for the Cyclones... the Longhorns are not going to be happy. Hook 'em.

Texas vs. Oklahoma: 13-65 Mistakes & Missed opportunity - Gavin
Wow, we got totally reamed. There's not much to say, really. All we can do now is just win the rest of our games and hope for the best. Beat Iowa State.

Game Week #6: Oklahoma - Gavin
This game will determine the outcome of our season. We must not hold anything back. Losing is not an option. If we want to do anything great, OU must fall. This game is the last full measure. We will have to play our best game of the season on October 11 - no mistakes. A big win over OU will silence all of the naysayers, the critics, and the longhorn-haters. We can do this. We have the talent and we have the heart. We will prove them all wrong. Top 5, here we come.

Texas vs. Kansas State: 24-20 Victory - Gavin
What a great win for our team. I said we'd be in the top 10 by now, but I was off by a rank. #11 will have to do until we beat OU. Coach Brown is a great coach. He made some gutsy, gutsy calls this game and left in Vince Young when it was clear that he had all of the steam going into the 4th quarter. Kstate is a great team, and they played us a LOT tougher than Arkansas did. We totally dominated in the first half and then rode a roller coaster for most of the second. We'll have to step it up next week vs OU, but the pieces are already in place... here's to hoping that injury doesn't bring our season to a halt. Sooners beware, and hook 'em horns!

Game Week #5: Kansas State - Gavin
Now it gets real. Opening up conference play vs a powerhouse like Kansas State will be a tough test for our team... but I think we'll beat them by two touchdowns anyway. With the record of both teams already tarnished by a single loss, this game has major BCS implications. The Longhorns and the Wildcats both have a lot to play for, and the winner of this bout will show the nation who is serious, and not just riding the coat tails of their Top 25 poll ranking. This game will also be a good indicator as to how the rest of our season progresses. Hook 'em.

Texas vs. Tulane: 63-18 Domination - Gavin
These guys got destroyed. The best part of the day is that some big undefeated teams in front of us also lost. Texas will surely jump up a couple spots in the polls this week as a result.

At any rate, Texas looked really good. We have some amazingly talented athletes and if we bring it like this every week from here on out, there's nobody out there who's gonna stop us. Hook 'em horns!

Game Week #4: Tulane - Gavin
All eyes are on Tulane this week. Just looming over the horizon is a veritable gauntlet of powerhouse football programs coming our way, but it's best to take these sort of things one week at a time. I kind of like the media boycott our players pulled last week; I say we should keep it going all year and just show up in New Orleans for the national title.

I'm not really concerned about this coming Saturday's game at all. We'll probably shut Tulane out... again. I'm just looking forward to another stellar performance by our team, on all fronts. We'll be back inside the nation's top 10 in two weeks. Count on it.

Texas vs. Rice: 48-7 Massacre - Gavin
I've never seen our team look so good before. We totally shut down Rice's rushing offense--which is ranked 4th in the nation--and were able to run all over them ourselves. Our special teams, defensive, and offensive units all stepped up and played an amazing game. It would have been a shutout if our third string wasn't playing late in the final quarter. If we play like this against OU, you may as well punch our ticket to the Big XII championship game in Kansas City. We had a great game and proved two very important things: that we can run, and that we can stop the run. I wouldn't count us out of the national title hunt just yet.

Game Week #3: Rice - Gavin
There's no sense dwelling on yesterday's game... no one ever got anywhere by being negative. Right now, all eyes are on Rice and one thing is for sure: they are going to get blown out. Our team is going to play rather forcefully against them, taking out ALL of their pent up aggression on them... poor owls.

Texas vs. Arkansas: 28-38 Tragedy - Gavin
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pretty upset by our loss to Arkansas... everyone has a bad game at some point. Arkansas played the best game they could play against us, and we gave them a mediocre attempt. The crazy thing is that even with our subpar performance, we still kept it really close. Coach Brown said it best - we played hard, we just didn't play well.

However, this is history now. It does not matter. As hard as losing is, if we are to lose 1 game all season, this was the game to lose. Everyone should know from the past 2 years that an early loss is FAR better than a late one. Kansas State and Oklahomoa will be both be undefeated, top 5 ranked teams when we play them. If we go into those back to back weeks fighting, and come out with 2 wins... we are RIGHT back in this thing. We will once again be ranked in the top 5 and will be in legitmate contension for the national championship. As it is now, we STILL control our own Big XII destiny and, if we win out, we will finish in a highly sought BCS bowl for a certainty.

Game Week #2: Arkansas - Gavin
We have a little break with this weekend off, but our season resumes immediately on the 13th of this month when Arkansas comes to Austin to take on the Longhorns. My prediction is that we'll beat these guys by 20 points. Enjoy the cartoon.

Texas vs. New Mexico State: 66-7 Blowout - Gavin
Wow, NMSU got wailed on. The Longhorn special teams and defense are clearly amazing... I've never seen us score that many points in a single game before, ever. Once our offense gets the run going, no one--not even OU--will be able to stop us from our 1 way trip to the Big XII Championship and Sugar Bowl.

It's getting close now. Kickoff is in a week and I've decided to post my first of 12 cartoons today. Enjoy yourself, and let's see what this longhorn can do. Introduction - Gavin
Mkay, I've decided to run a little fansite this Fall in support of the Longhorns. This is how it will work: every week I will post a short animated cartoon on here, starring our very own mascot, Bevo the Longhorn. In the aforementioned cartoons, Bevo will battle the mascot of the opposing team that is to be played that week, and the outcome of the short should be a good indicator of how well our team will perform on game day.

All of these cartoons are made by yours truly, and I firmly believe that my unique perspective as a "UT Video Guy" gives me some farseeing prediction clout... so these cartoons should be taken as gospel in predicting the outcome of every game this season. Hook 'em.

As well as the cartoons which are done purely for fun and entertainment value, I'll post the status of my complimentary tickets to the game of each week. If you're interested in going to a game and see that my tickets are available, don't hesitate to ask and I'll see if I can send you off to the game for free--good seats, too.
