Some of the greatest battles in the history of mankind were waged during World War II. Names like El Alamein, Kursk, Normandy, Leningrad, Iwo Jima and Guadacanal call like ghosts from the grave, and provide a constant reminder of the heroism, bravery and savagery displayed.



This section of the website is designed to take a closer look at some of the battles fought during World War II, and offer a recap and related information pertaining to those battles. In addition to the better known, aforementioned battles, alot of information on some of the lesser known battles can be found located within.

The men who waged this war, defined their generation as one of bravery, courage, persistance and honor. Perhaps the mind set of the men behind this conflict could best be sumarized by the words of Captain Henry P. Crowe. While leading his men on Guadacanal in January 1943, he barked out orders, "Goddamn it, you'll never get a Purple Heart hiding in a foxhole, follow me."
