NBA'S
WESTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS
THE NBA
IS FILLED WITH GREAT PLAYERS, BUT I CHOOSE TO HIGHLIGHT THE WESTERN
CONFERENCE'S ALL-STARS.On the far
left is Carmelo Anthony. He went to college at Syracuse, and entered
the NBA Draft after his freshman year, when the Orangemen won
the National Championship. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets
as the overall 3rd round pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.
In the
middle is Kevin Garnett. He went to Farragut Academy High School.
He skipped college, and went straight into the NBA. He was drafted
early in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is
a usual All-Star, and is my favorite player.
On the
far right is Steve Francis. He went to Maryland, and after his
senior year, he was drafted by the Houston Rockets. He is aslo
a usual All-Star, and in his 2nd year, he won the Slam Dunk Contest.
On the
right is Chris Webber. He went to Michigan, and was part of the
"Fab Five" at Michigan, which also included NBA stars
Jalen Rose and Juwan Howard. He was drafted by the Golden State
Warriors, but later in his career he was traded to the Sacremento
Kings, who hev still plays for today.
On the
left is Ray Allen. He went to Connecticut for college, and was
drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks, but was later traded to the Seattle
Supersonics for Gary Payton. Payton was later traded to the Los
Angeles Lakers, but Allen still plays for the Sonics today.
This
picture shows Tim Duncan. Duncan went to Wake Forest University
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was drafted by the San Antonio
Spurs, and has won: Rookie of the Year, MVP, MVP of the Finals,
and two World Championships.
Above
is Jason Richardson. For college he went to Michigan State. He
was a first round draft pick in the NBA Draft by the Golden State
Warriors. The last two years he has won the Slam Dunk Contest,
but lost this year to Freddie Jones of the Indiana Pacers.
