A Box of Glazed

Hello! I am Tressa! I run this rockin' website. This is an example of the quality you'll find here.

Rockin' the casbah since March 15, 2003!

Blocked in Ontario high schools for "questionable content" since June 2004!

Prime select and a box of glazed, pulling flybys on days when we were young and innocent; elbow-drop Sundays when Mark Eaton got beat to shit. Laughing at the bands we hate, all the spots we used to skate - they're still there, but we've gone our own ways. I know it's for the best but sometimes I wonder, will I ever have friends like you again? -"Lemmings," Blink 182

Damn straight!

Welcome to Tressa the Insane's mysterious world. I am a very twisted young child, but in such an endearing way. The word "twisted" is thrown around a lot these days - a lot of wannabes like to claim they are, such as goths. However, I guarantee you I was twisted long before it was cool. I'm old school twisted.

Last Updated: June 18/08 - I don't know if anyone still visits this website, but I thought I'd provide a little update, since I still get occasional angry e-mails from high school kids upset that I insulted Protest the Hero and/or "slandered the brotherhood of punk rock" in my rant making fun of cliche punk MSN names.

I made this website when I was a ninth grader and stopped updating it late in the eleventh grade. Most of these rants and reviews are really cringeworthy to me now, since it's hard looking back on when you listened to a lot of crappy music and couldn't stop whining about how much you hated high school and its jocks and preps. At the same time, though, it's surreal to have this time capsule out there of all the things I felt and thought when I was younger. Though it's embarrassing to me now, all the whining, arrogance and self-pity was just a natural part of going through adolescence.

If you're curious as to what I'm up to now, I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in political science and criminology from the University of Guelph; I'll be entering my third year of studies this September. I still love to listen to punk rock, though I'm not as active in checking out new bands, going to shows, etc. as I once was as a high schooler. I also still enjoy ranting, though it's usually about politics and somewhat more intellectually-phrased than the contents of this website. :)

Anyway, this website will remain up for all to enjoy (until the day Angelfire goes bankrupt), but take everything you read with a grain of salt, as it was written many years ago by a 15-17 year-old. Over the next few days, I'll probably put my high school quotes collection back online, which I currently have stored privately, so that I can send the link around to all my hometown buddies. Quotes from my high school friends used to be by far the most popular section of this site, but I ended up taking it down back in the day because people I didn't like were perpetually nagging me to put unfunny things they'd said up on the site. Oh, high school drama!
