With a trip to the 2004 Olympics already assured by Saturday's semi final win, the USA turned its attention to completing some unfinished business-- winning the gold medal and finishing with spotless 10-0 overall record. Thanks to 23 points from Tim Duncan and some inspired team play, the United States (10-0 overall) romped over Argentina (6-4 overall) 106-73 Sunday night in the gold medal game of the FIBA Americas Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament gold medal game.

The NBA draft comes tonight at 7 pm eastern. For the first time in over a decade is for certain who the top three picks in the NBA draft are going to be. With the first pick going to Cleveland, they hope to get the highly anticipated high schooler Lebron James!

The conference finals have just finished and in the East the Nets once again sweep the Detroit Pistons 4-0. In the west the Spurs shut down any hope of Dallas pursuing a game 7 by winning 4-2. To check all the scores click here. |

The second round of the playoffs have finished, and the results are as follows; in the East the Nets sweep the Celtics 4-0, Pistons beat 76ers 4-2 in what should have gone into a game 7. In the West the Spurs defeat the current NBA champions 4-2 by winning the last two games, and Dallas defeats the Kings in the deciding game 7. To check all the scores click here. |

The first round of the playoffs have finished, and the results are as follows; in the East Detroit comes back to beat the Magic's even though they were trailing the series 3-1 finishing 4-3, Nets win the series against the Bucks 4-2 as they win the last 2 games of the series, Boston beats Indiana 4-2, and in an exciting game 6 the 76ers; lead by Iverson who scored 45 points, won their series against New Orleans 4-2. In the west Spurs finish the Suns 4-2 by winning the last two games, The Kings beat the Jazz 4-1 as Stockton declared his last season in basketball, Portland although coming back from a 3-0 deficit to demand a concluding game they lost game 7 as the Mavericks went on to win it 4-3, and the Lakers wont he last 3 games of the series to win it 4-2. Playoffs Have Started |

The playoffs have started and again I am rooting for 76ers. As long as it's an exiting year in basketball I will be happy. All though I have a strong hunch that Los Angeles aren't going to make it to the finals and Nets will be a strong force in the east once again. |
