Forward: Last Saturday Austin pulled out another quick victory, this time over the legendary Ric Flair.... Now Austin is set to take on the new comer Mark Jindrak. Jindrak hasn't been here that long, but he has shown potential to be one of the all time greats of the EWE if he progressively gets better . It'll be old school EWE versus new school this week on Slammin'! Will the veteran be able to pull off a win over the rookie? Will experience triumph over the eagerness of youth? Or.....will Austin's win streak be shattered at the hands of the Reflection of Perfection?
Scene #1: Lockerroom!
Purpose: To Promote Slammin'!
The scene opens up, and we see Stone Cold Steve Austin sitting down on a long black couch in his lockerroom.... A few of his things are seen laying on a table in front of him; his black vest, watch, wrist band tape, and his wallet. Austin is currently watching a video of last weeks Slammin', and drinking a beer at the same time.
He watches as he sees himself deliver a huge Stunner to Ric Flair.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: The poor bastard never saw it coming (laughs a little bit) I think that's worth another look....
Austin takes a sip of beer, then picks up the vcr remote, and rewinds the video.... Then he pushes play and watches himself Stunner Flair again. Rewinds....watches again. Rewinds.....and watches again.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching that......
Austin watches as he covers Flair, and gets the three count to pick up his second consecutive win since URII.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: (Austin thinks to himself...) Well, Flair was number 2, and this week Jindrak will become number 3.... And then it's on to that 6 man match of mine. And then onto Fall of The Empire. (stops thinking to himself, and begins to speak out loud instead....) Fall of The Empire..... I better take a look at last week's six man match. I faced The Rock before, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a look at some more footage of him in the ring, since I'll probably be facing him again.
Austin takes the remote and hits fast forward.... After about 30 seconds, he reaches last week's Main Event, and he begins to watch it.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: (takes a big chug of beer, then speaks to himself out loud again) Here we go, this is it....
Austin watches as man after man gets eliminated until it comes down to the last two men..... ROCK BOTTOM, 1, 2, 3.....The Rock wins it.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: The Rock and Austin one on one again at Fall of The Empire...... Right after I win my 6 man match.... It'll be me and The Rock one on one again.... (Austin zones out, and thinks about Fall of The Empire for a while..... Then he comes two, and realizes he better start thinking about the present) But The Rock is another man for another day.... I have that guy Mark Jindrak to worry about. I mean Mike Jindrak, no. It's Mark.....I think. Oh well, it doesn't really matter.... Lets see, where's his match on this tape?
Austin hits the button on the remote, and starts to rewind the tape.... As he does, he finishes off the beer he was drinking. He throws the empty can on the floor and reaches down into the 12 pack, next to him on the floor, and pulls out another beer. He opens it up and starts to slurp it down. After a few seconds of slurping he stops, realizing he's about to rewind past Jindraks match.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Oh crap!
Austin juggles with the remote for a while before finally getting it to stop and play.... Austin watches the match......
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: (Austin thinks to himself...) Well the kid has some talent, he does.... (smirks) Not enough though. He still doesn't stand much of a chance this Saturday. Oh what am I talking about, he doesn't stand ANY kind of chance this Saturday......
Austin continues to watch, until the match ends with the ref ringing the bell signaling a DQ....
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: (Austin thinks to himself again...) Well that's that.... Nothing else left to watch on this tape.
Austin hits the stop and rewind button on the remote..... After the tape finishes rewinding, Austin stands up, hits eject and takes the tape out. He places it on the tv, then walks back over to the couch. He sits down and finishes his other beer. Once he finishes it, he reaches in the 12 pack for another but finds there aren't any left.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Damn!
He picks the empty box up and then throws it back down in dissapointment.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: I guess it's time for a beer run.
Austin grabs his wallet off of the table, and heads out for more beer, as the scene fades to black...!
Scene #2: Backstage In The Hallway! Michael pops up for an Interview!
Purpose: To Promote Slammin'!
The scene comes to light, and we see Stone Cold heading down the hallway, when he is suddenly approached by Michael Cole.
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: Austin... Could I speak with you? I was hoping to hear what you had to say about your match this Saturday against Mark Jindrak, among other things.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: (Austin reluctantly responds) Sure....
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: Well, last week you managed to defeat Ric Flair. The week before that, you managed to beat Tazz. Do you think this week you'll manage to beat Mark Jindrak?
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: What kind of question is that? Do you know who I am? I'm Stone Cold Steve Austin! ........ Did you listen to what I had to say out in the ring the other day?
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: Well actually....
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah! Don't answer that. Shut up! ........ Obviously you didn't, otherwise you wouldn't be asking such stupid questions.... I'm Stone Cold Steve Austin, of course im going to beat Mark Jindrak. You see Cole, there are a few things right, and a few things wrong with your last question. Yes, your right, I did beat Tazz and Ric Flair.... No, I didn't manage to beat Tazz and Ric Flair...........I made short work of both of them. In my book that doesn't equal me managing to beat them, it equals them managing to lose and live to wrestle another day. The fact is, these past few weeks I haven't been managing to beat anybody.......the way you make it sound, I've just been gettin' lucky. But that ain't the case. See, I have been destroying guys in that ring lately. And this Saturday won't be any different..... I've been whooping ass, and I'll continue to whoop ass, it's what I do! I don't manage, I don't get lucky, I whoop ass......plain and simple!
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: Okay.... I see your point. But what about your match this week specifically? Do you think it'll be harder to win or easier then your last two?
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Don't know. We'll all find out this Saturday won't we?
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: I guess.... But if you had to make a choice what would it be? Harder or easier?
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: (thinks for a second) Well that all depends on how afraid my opponent is of me.... And how many beers I've drunk before the match. (laughs a little) So both harder and easier I guess.
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: All right. Well what do you think about your opponent refering to himself as the Reflection of Perfection?
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Well uh, this may just be the redneck from Texas talking..... But the way I see it, any guy who looks at himself in front of a mirror long enough to call himself perfection doesn't seem to be on the straight and narrow, if you know what I mean.
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: (chuckles a little) Well I don't know if Jindrak would agree with that assumption. But anyway..... Looking ahead, if you do beat Jindrak this Saturday......do you think that'll make him less or more of a threat to you in that 6 man match, that'll take place later on?
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Well if I beat him this Saturday it'll probably make him more of a threat. I mean, if he loses to me one on one, he'll probably want to redeem himself by beating me in the 6 man match..... It's all a matter of motivation. If he beats me, he won't consider me a threat and underestimate me, making me more of a threat to him then he is to me. But if I beat him, he'll be motivated to seek revenge. Either way though, im winning that Group Three 6 man match no matter what. It's my shot at the Title, and you can be damn sure im gonna take it....
"The Backstreet Wanna Be" Michael Cole: Okay, well....
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Sorry Cole, no more questions. I'm out of beer and im late in getting some more. Talk to me after I beat Jindrak this Saturday, I got run....
With that, Austin walks off again, in hopes of getting out of the Arena to get more beer....
The scene fades to black....!
Scene #3: In The Parking Lot, Another Run In With Paul Heyman!
Purpose: To Promote Slammin'!
The Cameras catch up with Austin once again.....this time he's in the Parking Lot, and he's just about to climb into his truck when Paul Heyman appears.....
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Hey Austin....
Austin turns around and looks at Heyman.....Austin is noticeably un-thrilled about seeing him.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: What do you want?
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Well I just thought I'd ask you again..... One last time......if you would help me get rid of Skull.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: What part of "No" didn't you understand the first time you asked me that?
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Look, I know the two of us have had our differences. But the fact is, Skull is a problem.....not only to me, but to you and everyone else as well. Whether you or those crackpot fans believe it or not!
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Listen...
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: No you listen! Skull made your life a living hell in the past.... I helped you out! ..... Now, he's back. And right now, he's just messing with me, but sooner or later he'll get back to what he started with you. The time for action is now....... Don't you see? If we act now we can put an end to him before he ever has a chance......
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Heyman, I've said it before and I'll say it again...... The answer is, and forever will be.....No!
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Damn it Austin! You owe me one!
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: I don't owe you shit! So what, you helped me out once.....that was the past. I don't owe you anything...... And just for the record, I never asked for your help, and quite frankly I didn't....nor did I ever need it! I'm Stone Cold Steve Austin, I would have beaten Steiner whether you were there that night or not.
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Look, Skull is a big, big.....problem. That needs to be delt with.
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: The way I see it, Skull isn't any of my business right now, he's yours. And all you seem to be doing is trying to get me to do your dirty work..... Well I got news for ya, it ain't gonna happen! Skull's your problem, not mine.......I have my own to worry about.... Like going on to Fall of The Empire this month to take back whats mine, the Undisputed Heavyweight Title.... The bottom line is.....straight up, I don't give a crap what Skull does to you. I care about one person, and that's me. My advice for you.....would be to get it through your head that my answer is No, and to stay as far away from Skull as humanly possible.
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Well if that's how you wanna be.....then fine.
There's a brief silence, and the two men just stare at each other. Then Austin speaks again.....
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: Are we through?
"The EWE Owner" Paul Heyman: Yeah.....
"The Paranoid" Stone Cold Steve Austin: So then why are you still here?
Heyman doesn't answer, instead he just slowly backs away.....
After Heyman has finally left, Austin climbs into his truck, and finally drives off to do what he planned, get beer!
The scene fades to black, as Austin burns out of the Parking Lot......
