- A current health certificate. Health certificates are good for 30 days and must be valid through the time of delivery
- Several states require BRAND INSPECTIONS for horses to be transported within or out of those states. It is YOUR responsibility to know the rules and regulations of your state AND the states your horse will be transported THROUGH BEFORE pick up! Your veterinary can supply you with this information.
- We also suggest that you include a copy of the horses registration papers NEVER SEND THE ORIGINALS with your horse. Copies are adequate
The following is required at the time of pick-up:
- Halter and lead rope
- any special feed
- any special hay horse is used to eating
- We will do our best to accommodate special requests. It is best to write down special instructions and send them with your Authorization Form. If your requirements include special dietary items, please provide those at the time of pickup
Safety and Road Conditions:
- For the safety of the horses I transport, I never loose load. All horses will be head tied with exceptions given to pregnant mares and medical problems. Those exceptions must purchase a full stall.
- Please inform me ahead of time about specific road conditions and construction so that we may alter our planned routes. If you live on a dirt road and it has rained in the last few days, I will not attemt to drive down it. The owner or handler MUST lead the horse to the trailer where ever it may be.
