A Bit about Myself…
I
am currently an international student studying in America. I have been in America for almost 2 years now and first went to
Los Angeles to
study in a community college. Subsequently I went to Arizona
to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
to fulfill my dream if being a pilot. I left for America
after my national service in Singapore.
It was a tough, but enjoyable time for me that left me with very good friends
and precious experience.
All about Family!!
My family is still in Singapore. We
are a family of four with me as the youngest, and I have an older sister and my
parents. Asians typically have close ties with our extended families and my
family keeps in close touch with my aunts’ and uncles’ family. Last December,
two aunts and their family came over to America for a visit and a vacation.
We had a good time hiking over at Palm
Springs and the children went crazy running all over
the place. They stayed for one and a half month and it was a sad moment when
they have to leave. The kids did a power point presentation on the trip and
sent me the cd-rom on it.
Clean & Green Singapore
Singapore
has always been described as a very clean and green place. It’s pretty small
and it is just a dot on the world map. Someone once told me that the whole Singapore can fit into the Los Angeles 20 times over. There are
advantageous of being small though. We have very good public transport system
and I can virtually go anywhere at almost anytime of the day. Taxis are
comparatively inexpensive, although prices have been increasing in recent
years. With the amount of nightlife going on in Singapore, taxis are very
important!!
