    For New Students (Local Applicants) De La Salle University considers applications from all high school graduates who show evidence of above average ability. Criteria for admissions include: results of the De La Salle University College Entrance Test, high school grades, recommendations from the high school principal, class adviser or counselor, and potential contribution to the academic community in the context of the University's Vision-Mission Statement. Admissions requirements include: admissions processing fee, completed application form, high school grades, two recommendations from either the principal, class adviser, or guidance counselor, three identical 2"x2" photographs, photocopy of birth certificate (from the local civil registrar), and entrance examination as scheduled. All applicants are advised by postal mail and through the Internet at the DLSU web site by early January. For Foreign Student Applicants Foreign students who wish to apply for admissions to De La Salle University should follow the procedure outlined for local high school graduates. In addition, non-permanent resident foreign students should present a Certificate of Eligibility and Study Permit from the Commission on Higher Education; permanent aliens, a Verified Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR). Filipinos who graduated from schools abroad should submit a Certificate of Eligibility. For Transferees Students who have been enrolled in other colleges/universities and who wish to continue their studies at De La Salle University should do the following: Present a copy of complete grades (Transcript of Records) and a catalog of courses taken at the Admissions Office. College grade requirements include a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 85% or its equivalent, no failure in any subject and no incomplete grades. After initial evaluation of grades, the applicant, if qualified, will be sent to the DLSU College Vice Dean concerned for preliminary interview. If recommended to take the entrance examination, the applicant shall secure an application form and complete the regular requirements. The applicant shall inquire at the admissions Office a week after testing date on the status of his/her application. If accepted, the DLSU College Vice Dean will accredit only a maximum of 30 academic units earned. The Honorable Dismissal (Transfer Credential) document from the last school attended will be required only after the applicant has been accepted at De La Salle University. For Second Undergraduate Degree Applicants College graduates who wish to earn a second undergraduate degree should submit the following requirements to the admissions Office for the preliminary screening: letter addressed to the admissions Committee stating reason for applying, Transcript of Records (GPA of at least 85% for non-La Salle graduates with no failure in any subject), discipline record from previous Chair/Department Head and College Dean. The application is then forwarded to the Vice Dean of the College concerned for evaluation. If recommended for testing, the student follows the usual procedure for applying at the undergraduate level. The decision on the final status of the applicant is made by the College through its Vice Dean.

    Graduate Studies Admissions Overview Application for admission to the graduate studies programs are coursed through the Graduate Studies Unit of the specific college and/or school. Generally, an applicant goes through the following steps: Secure application package from the Director’s Office of the college you are applying to. Pay the application fee at the Accounting Office. Take the entrance examination on the scheduled date at the Institutional Testing and Evaluation Office (ITEO) at LS101 (Mezzanine floor of Admissions Office). He/She can inquire about the result after 2-3 weeks and should he/she pass, an interview with the Director and the concerned Department Chair will be scheduled. The applicant will then be advised of the enrolment schedule and procedure. Required documents are usually: Completed application form (Download Graduate School Admission Form) Original Official Transcript of Records Letter(s) of Recommendation, and Photograph.     For foreign applicants, the same steps as above are undertaken except that after the applicant passes the screening, he/she is required to submit additional documents before enrollment and additional fees will be required. Among these additional requirements are: Authenticated birth certificate or passport, Authenticated and notarized affidavit of support, Authenticated Transcript of Records (with translation if not in English), Authenticated Diploma, Personal History Statement, and Copy of the Test if English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) score form or certificate of proficiency. For details, inquire at the Registrar’s Office (link here) or at the respective graduate studies unit. For transferees and shiftees, the admission procedures are the same as for new students.

    Application Procedures for Freshmen For School Year 2004-2005 Inquire for details at the Admissions Office. Pay the Admissions Processing Fee (includes application form, informational materials, testing and processing) at the Accounting Office. For Filipino citizens: P500.00 For Foreign students: US$50.00 Present the Official Receipt to the Admissions Office and secure the Application Form and other requirements. Fill out the Application Form and attach the required documents: (Only applications with correct and complete information/requirements will be processed.) Certified True Copy of Secondary School Records (Year I to 1st Quarter of Year IV) to be accomplished by the Registrar. (Use DLSU Secondary Scholastic Record Form) Two (2) Recommendations from any two of the following: High School Principal, Class Adviser or Guidance Counselor (Use DLSU Recommendation Form) Three (3) 2” x 2” identical photographs Photocopy of Birth Certificate (From the Local Civil Registrar) Submit completed Application Form with all the required documents at the Admissions Office before your entrance exam date to secure your exam permit. Your entrance exam schedule will depend on the earliest testing date available upon submission of the requirements. (NOTE: Deadline for submission of completed Application Form and Requirements: October 29, 2003) Take the exam on your scheduled date. All applicants must present their exam permits on their date of examination. (There will be no re-scheduling of Entrance Exams.) Individual status letters will be mailed to the address indicated in the Application Form in late January. If you do not receive your results by then, please inquire from the Admissions Office.
