Greetings A/all and be welcome to the House of Darksia.
Please note this is a statement of intent from the M/members of the Family.
The House of Darksia was founded by Ria, and has grown to include many wonderful and diverse P/people, all of which are dearly loved and welcomed by A/all in the Home. The primary rule of this House was that there would be no Drama, and this is something W/we all still firmly agree on.
It was violently brought to My (Ria's) attention at an early age that abuse comes in all forms. It comes in all walks of life, and in all countries. Religion to religion, city to city, no matter where it is in the world, abuse is a common factor. In researching the BDSM Lifestyle, I came across a program called L.A.S.T., or Lifestyle Abuse Survivors Together. It is known the heavy handed ways of the Lifestyle, but even in this sinful world of pleasure abuse happens. Being frowned upon by the "normal" community these people have no where to turn.
With a compassionate heart and a strong will to survive Ria created a theory, which developed into a plan, which finally bloomed into this beautiful House, and the Love within in and of itself is a miracle. This Family, soon to be real-time in the state of Idaho, and eventually Arizona, will be a half-way home for Lifestyle Abuse Survivors, and a platform to train and educate new and old Followers of the Lifestyle.
As a non-profit organization the House is able to support itself by being the storefront and laberatory for Darksia Dreamscape - a company in making that will make and dispense homemade products. (Among said products are soaps, lotions, body spray, beadwork, quiltwork, paintings, and other such items.) This will create not only income for the House, but jobs for T/those seeking sanctuary who are not yet ready to return to the harsh vigors of modern society. (The support of a loving environment to live and work in, as well as knowing that their hobbies can be turned into paychecks to benifit themselves and the Home they stay in.)
This is not a commune. It is not a sex-house, or a dirty shack hidden in the desert as a house of sin.
