Spoken words in English, German and French open up the album on the first track : 'This is your world, These are your people, you can live for yourself today, or help build tomorrow for everyone', words that pretty much express the theme of FuturePerfect. Foreword fades into the first high energy industrial dance track "Epicentre", which just happens to be my favorite song. Epicentre is followed by two instrumentals "Electronaut" and "Liebestod." Liebestod is an orchestral synth piece which is very easy to listen to and often times helps me get to sleep, while electronaut is upbeat with a lot of bass and weird futuristic noises. The next track "holding on" is a very dark piece with lots of emotion. Number six, "carbon" is a well written song about preserving our natural environment and what could happen if we dont. "Our existance should be defined, as a light that cant be seen anyone" pretty depressing. "Gensis" is a popular song that is unquie, but gets quite repeative. "Structure" is odd, a ton of noises and funky sounding synth. I believe that "structure" was more of an experiment that anything. The next Song "Fearless" is just plain awesome. Very fast pasted industial song with great lyrics and a very catchy chours. Very old school VNV. "4am" is just a filler in my opinion. Track 11, "Beloved" is consider by most people VNV Nations best song. It starts up slow, builds up and turns into a melodic addictive sound. The last song airships is musically not fantastic, but is well written lyrically. Overall a Very good CD. A must have for anyone into dance,EBM or Industrial music. My favorite CD of 2002. I give it a 4.75/5 email me
