Forum topics are diverse at SkiffyNova! We have topics for many subjects and interest areas. Everything from Superheroes, comic books, science fiction, movies, television, literature, poetry, role playing games, video games, pets/animals, hobbies, general discussion and many others!
At SkiffyNova, many of us write short stories, fiction, poetry and create our own superhero characters. Many of our members participate in costuming, conventions and renaissance fairs. Some members create their own artwork. We exchange feedback and critiques and offer advice and support to one another. There is much to see and do at SkiffyNova Station. There is much to learn. We have a rich culture. We are descendants of the great civilization known as SkiffyTown. SkiffyTown is an online community that originated on the Sci-Fi channel's bulletin board forum for the television show "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?" ---SkiffyTown is still alive today at the SciFi site. The Sci-Fi channel's site has been very generous to allow us to develop our community there, however there are limitations. The site is a commercial site which is intended to exist for the discussion of their television program(s). Off-topic discussions are not desired by the network. This is fairly understandable. As time progressed the site experienced some technical difficulties and many people's accounts were lost or disabled. People who had formed friendships were finding themselves cut off from each other. This eventually gave rise to the creation of SkiffyNova. A refuge, an ark of sorts. A lifeboat for people to maintain contact in times of trouble. A place to archive history so it will not be lost. SkiffyTown has produced many friendships and endeavors. A few members have experimented with their own web sites to perpetuate and spread the SkiffyTown culture to new horizons. The more, the merrier. Everyone is welcome. SkiffyNova is a free community. There are no fees, no charges, no taxes. If you are interested in peace, if you wish to add your light to our energy spectrum, we welcome you with open arms. We wish to preserve and maintain the culture and ideals that were developed in SkiffyTown. It is our hope that SkiffyNova will continue to preserve the spirit of SkiffyTown and to serve the citizens of SkiffyTown for many more years to come. We hope to make new friends along the way. We hope to explore new ideas and realms. We hope to add to that which made us great. So we stand tall, here in the darkness of space. We keep the beacons illuminated.
