Pottsgrove Key Club
Monday, 15 September 2003
Welcome back everyone!
Hey! I know school's been underway for a few weeks now, but we're getting off to a slower (but steady) start for the club. The other officers and I are so excited this year, with about 63 brainstormed ideas for events!! We do, however, want your complete input (because otherwise no one would be interested in the club), so please complete the events survey and return by SEPTEMBER 19, 2003 to any of the officers or advisors.
Second, although Kyle's been working all along, his main duties as treasurer are coming up: DUES!! Key Club International set the amount of dues, so we have no input whatsoever- sorry! Your $12.00 are due ASAP, and to encourage you to bring them in early (so Kyle can get the "Distinguished Treasurer" award) we are adding rewards to the Early Birds!! If you bring in your dues by September 19, you can add 5 WHOLE, FREE hours to your hour sheet. If you bring in your dues between September 22 and September 26, you get to add 3 hours to your hour sheet. After that--sorry, no bonus hours, but you still have to get them in! If you do have a problem paying dues, don't be scared to talk to the officers--there is money in the account that we can use. We'd rather keep you in the club and keep your hours than lose you over dues!
Third, on a sour note...We have to enforce probation and expulsion from the club this year, since we want to be sure our club is reliable and responsible. If you get on probation (possible ways are in your newsletter), the officers will decide how you can get off. If you mess up again while on probation, though, you will not be a part of the club the next school year.
Sign up for the cookie and reminder committees!! You get hours for your work, and we really need people on these committees!
Remember to sell hoagies (they can only help you!) and turn in your money at the end of the sale.
Are you creative and/or good at art? Then design a T-shirt for division 19N for the T-shirt design contest! See Paula for more details.

Thanks for checking the website out--keep coming back for more updates. Email me at Renee601@aol.com if you ever have any questions.

The year's going to be great! Molly

What Is KEY Club?
"KEY Club" stands for Kiwanis Educating Youth, an international organization that is sponsored by local Kiwanis Clubs to help younger kids become involved. KEY Club is simply a high school version of Kiwanis. We as KEY Clubbers dedicate many hours of our time to help serve our community as well as our school. These hours go to feeding the hungry, giving to the poor and raising money for those who need it.
