| Music is a great motivator in my life.
The radio is great, as always. But what did they just play?? See what you just heard on the radio at www.yes.net!
Shoutcast is great! It reminds me of a radio in a way, because you tune in to a station that someone else is tuned into. It is like a live broadcast, but many are commercial free. (and FREE) AOL owns them now, but who cares right! It is still awesome! Streaming audio at selected bit rates. It sounds great! The European Trance is my favorite!
I am also a huge fan of LaunchCast. It is a free music service that you can subscribe to to get premium features. It allows you to rate your favorite artists, albums, and songs, and then plays what you rate high and what it predicts you would rate high. You can even customize different radio stations. The big drawback is you can't play a particular song when you want to hear it. You can, however rate something that you want to hear, and it will increase the odds that it will play it in the near future.
Another great music source is Rhapsody Music Service. This is the only service that gives you instant access to thouscands of songs. You can play them on demand! Or even burn the songs to CD. It can be obtained through several different vendors. I bought a CD from Best Buy. you can also download a version from www.listen.com or RealRhapsody you can get a free trial through any one of them I think. I don't know all the different venders off hand, but you could find more I am sure. |
