Choose Life On Easter Sunday, I went to the opening of a new church in Gun Barrel called the Beloved Friends Church. It is a church being mothered by White Rock Church in Dallas. I remember gathering stones with one of the deacons to weigh down the bottom part of the sign of for new church so that it would not blow in the wind. During the sermon, Pastor Walker shared a very moving story about a time he had to choose between life and death. He chose to live.
Well, today, the day after Easter.. I was driving down the road and I heard turn, turn, turn on the radio. And the lyrics, "A time to gather stones together" My mind immediately replayed looking around for stones to weigh down that sign. Then, I looked up and low and behold the church sign read:
I broke down in tears knowing all of what happened to put me in those places at those times. Knowing that it was more that just a mere coincidence. Praise God! We serve a living God.
