There are many web sites out there where you can download free software. Some of it is limited by feature, some is limited by the number of times you can use it, and sometimes it is just a limited time license to use the software. In rare cases there is a good program out there that is totally free. Some of the best freely available programs are media players and games, so I am not going to duplicate those here. There are instant messengers (freeware). Yahoo! Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, and AOL Instant Messenger. AT&T has come out with one attempting to combine them all. Unfortunately I don't think it was pulled off too well. - update they don't offer it anymore There is a ton of software that you can download from various websites. From Black Ice Software:
