Technology Education Publisher How to Create a Flyer in Publisher |

Through out this interactive web page you will learn how to use
Publisher to create a simple flyer. Publisher is not a part of Microsoft Office Suite. Publisher is however simple to use. It looks just like all the other programs
that are included in the Microsoft Suite.
If you know how to use Word you will not have a problem-using
Publisher. Through out this web site I will demonstrate how to open Publisher,
Basic knowledge about Publisher, and how to insert graphics off the Internet. |

How to Open Publisher |
Inserting Pictures |
First
you will have to click the START button in the lower left hand side of your
screen.
Second
you will have to select Programs
Third
you will have to find Microsoft Publisher on the Start Menu.
Finally
once you find Publisher you will need to click on it and this is the snapshot
of what you will find once you open Publisher:
To
create a flyer:
Click
Flyers on the left side of the screen.
You
will get a drop down menu to look like this:
At this point you can choose from many options of which type of Flyer you would like to create.
I
have chose the Event option to create a flyer.
Once you select which type of event flyer you would like to design you will see a snapshot that looks like this (depending on which one you choose)
Be
sure to click Finish in the left side in order to type in the document.
To type in the document all you need to do is double click in the section you want to type and insert your information.

How to Insert Pictures from
the Web in Publisher

you will have to select clipart and it takes you to this screen:
You will then be taken to a screen that looks like this:
Here
you can type for what you would like to insert in your document in the search
for: and click the go button
I
chose to search for: For Sale clip art
(this is what I got)
To
select the one you would like all you need to do is insert, a check in the box
under the picture, and then at the top is an option for you to download
clipart, click that, and then click Download Now.
Then
you will get the clip art that you chose in a window like this:
Then
to view your clipart in your document all you need to do is double click on it.
Publisher
is as simple as that. You now have your
flyer.
