Discard all sharps into impervious sharps container immediately after use.

  • Contaminated Waste from patients on Isolation Procedures
  • Cultures and Stocks of Infectious Agents and Associated Biologicals

     ¨  Discarded live and attenuated vaccines

          ¨  Culture dishes

          ¨  Devices used to transfer, inoculate and mix cultures

 

Discard all “Red Bag” waste into Red bags immediately after use.  Place red bad into biomedical waste container in dirty utility room.

 

Regular Trash

  • Paper
  • Metal cans
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Ordinary trash
  • Plastics
  • Packaging materials
  • Food waste

 

Discard all regular trash in black bags.  Place in trash container in dirty utility room.
