Subject: Why am I warned of the windows of applet?

When the McNerf-Burger goes to some chatrooms, when you private message with a person, in the bottom of the window it speaks at me, "Warning:Applet Window." I am frightended. What does this foul message mean? Why is the applet window dangerous enough to warrant a warning? Can it destroy me? I need a computer minded folk to speak to me the answer, so that I may be happy once more.

it's a window entirely done in java.
now yes, some of these windows can do damage to your computer, but if you're at a respectable site and it doesn't have porn or warez on it (telltale signs it was hacked) there should be no problem.
There are ways to disable java depending on what browser you are using.
