I write with pens, draw with mechanical pencils, and never use traditional pencils if I can avoid it. Unless they are the really hard lead, and then I *might* use them for drawing.

Mechanical pencils are really neat-o. I sleep with some under my pillow at night, so if I need to suddenly spring out of bed and start drawing, I'm ready with just a click.
