So! The EMS moved to Italy. But what if THEY follow us? In order to work effectively as a community, we need some basic ground rules. I'm just laying these down as a starter kit, we can tinker with them later. (Made November 9th, 2004)
  1. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. So be kind! Treat everyone else on the board with respect!If they have a different opinion, hey, freedom of thought is a very precious thing. If everyone was the same, it would a very scareh world indeed. Especially love Jovi, for she pwns, as does BD.
  2. Respect other people’s opinions, especially when it comes to controversial issues, like religion, homosexuality and slash, Vitz, or witchcraft. You don’t have to agree with anyone, of course, and stating your own opinion is encouraged, but no telling other people that their opinion is WRONG. Theres no need for that, and it tends to get you frozen.
  3. Thou shalt maketh thy posts legible. Spell correctly and use good grammar to the best of your abilities. Mistakes will be forgiven, of course, but it’ll be hard for everyone to understand you and respond to your posts. When in doubt, corrections are a good way to go.
  4. Silliness and insanity are welcome here, even encouraged. Feel free to check your sanity at the front desk. Most of the Regs do. Just, sometimes serious thought really is required. I think you're smart enough to make that distinction.
  5. If you have a problem with a fellow EMSer, please try to work it out via neomail (except if it's really, really interesting and you want us to watch).
  6. If someone says something that seems extremely offensive or very rude, but you’re not sure exactly what they meant, ASK them first, before killing them on sight. They probably didn’t mean to offend anyone, especially if they know and like you. (If they DID mean to insult people, go ahead and kill them on sight if you like.)
  7. There is no number seven.
  8. Trollers, n00bs, m00fs, whatever you prefer their name to be will be ignored or mocked for entertainment.
  9. These boards are for fun. Remember to have it.
  10. If you even think about posting on the English EMS about this place... well, we don't mind going back to jail.
  11. Remember: if a n00b infiltrates our ranks, it is perfectly acceptable to pretend to speak no English so that it will get bored and go back to it's blood bar.
  12. Invitations shall be done via email or neomail, NOT over the ENGLISH board. Make sure to invite only those legible people who tend to get along well with people, or we could have problems.
  13. No calling yourself a goth. I'm sorry for all the true followers of the gothic succulture, but we had a big problem with that back in the "normal" EMS.
  14. No getting on someones case for religious grammar(i.e. G-d). 'Nuff said.
  15. No gay (you have no idea how good it feels to type that instead of "ghey" or "gei") bashing. But that won't be a problem, now will it...?
  16. As always, regular Neopets rules apply, unless they are deemed by popular vote to be "really, really stupid".
