An immature high school student (Shane West) begins a tumultuous rite of passage as he unexpectedly falls in love with the preacher?s daughter (Mandy Moore) in small-town 1950s North Carolina.
When everyone watch the thriller of this movie, they will be thinking "What a chick Flick." Truely it is a chick flick, but it is a good one. Just as everyone expected before, Landon(Shane West) is too cool to hang out with a nerd like Jamie(Mandy Moore). Jamie is an innocent, religious girl whom wears the same sweater every morning to school. And as usual, the cool guy always got hung up with the worst girl in the school, making fool of himself, losing all his friends. The story line of this story is pretty good and it end up unexpected. Mandy Moore sang her new song in the movie and she proofs that she is a good singer. I, of cause didn't deny that. She is indeed a pretty good singer. Maybe not as good as some other "super stars" but she is considered the very best for a girl her age. I think that Shane made a better emotion compared to Moore. I mean his acting is better than Moore, especially when he cries. Moore, on the other hand, fail to accomplish what is call a good acting. I guess I can define who is a better actor because Shane actually made my eyes wet.
