Now that I have taken shots of all the sprites I need from Nebula I now need to organize them.

Normally Nebula is configured to send all screen shots you take to it's Shots Folder, however if you have configured Nebula to do differently I suggest you go there instead. Either way I open my SHOTS folder.

Nebula saves its screenshots in a format called PNG (which I BELIEVE means Portable Network Graphics but I'm not sure), PNG files are very clear but are very hard to work with since to my knowledge only the most high grade of programs can edit them.  However since I don't know how to use PNG, and this is a lesson on how to start Fakeshotting, I will be turning these files into Bitmaps (.bmp).  Also notice My folder of junk, when I was making this tutorial I wasn't aware how crowded my SHOTS folder was and moved all the crap I was working on to there, just to show you that there should be only three files here (the two sprite shots and the background).  I open the PNG file that shows B.B. Hood and Crew.

Because I use Windows ME I got this nifty little program called "Microsoft Photo Editor" it makes it a breeze to read comic scans but I also use it to change PNG to BMP. I click File and then Save As...

AH-HAH! I was right it does mean Portable Network Graphics.  Um anyways, it is imperative you change "Save as type" from PNG to Windows Bitmap (.bmp).  I keep the name the same to avoid any confusion, I then do the same exact thing to the other sprite shot and the background shot.  However since it is all the practically the same process I made no pictures on it.  Please imagine it in your head if you must.

Now that I have all my shots in .bmp format I open the first sprite shot I did.  I choose the fill tool and fill all that was once pink white. I filled it white because Microsoft Paint generally keeps it default background color white, so it's quicker this way.

I then zoom in and fill all the small spaces with white.  If I do not do this when I transfer it over to a background I will get weird looking pink sections. Also I remove the little red part of the gauge but then the shadow looks off so I take a peice from another shadow I had ripped and put it on the end to make it look proper. I also did the exact same thing for the other shot I made but there will not be a picture on that one since it's practically the same step.

After taking out all the pink sections I stretch the width of the picture to give me more space to work with and then zoom in on the soldier's gun.

Now that I zoomed in on the soldier's gun I click Edit and then "Paste From..." (note: I'm well aware I'm not zoomed in, but trust me I will be next picture and you will ask, "How did you paste then zoom in?" and I'll say, "I didn't! I zoomed in THEN pasted).

I select the additional part that I took a shot of and then just overdraw the barrel of the soldier's gun.  This is why I made sure the barrel was still in the picture so I had a reference point make sure the blast and the bombs are in the correct spot.

Finally I select one of the bombs that is by itself, copy, and then paste it to a blank document because you never know when it may come in handy.  Also remember to save your work.  On a minor put together like this you don't have to save till the end but on more detailed ones you may wish to make multiple saves in case you mess up somewhere.

So now I have a complete sprite of B.B. Hood doing this specific move.  Now we have to go get a Last Blade Character.
