Hello everyone, please be seated and take out a sheet of paper and a pencil for today's class.  I suggest you take notes on it cause there will be a test.  Ok, so at the dawn of computer emulation people came upon this sudden realization that besides playing video games you can also "rip" the sprites and backgrounds out of these games and use them to your hearts content.   Along with these rippers were another group who realized that once these sprites and backgrounds were ripped you can make your own pictures, this form of picture making became aptly known as "fakeshotting".  Today class I will be teaching you how to rip your own sprites and make fakeshots.  This class will be long so before I start talking you may want to go on and grab yourself something to eat.  Also you will notice that there are about 51 images in this tutorial I assure you that most are required to show you how to do this and will be split into subjects to help ease the pressure of loading pictures.

Welcome back, ok so let me start on telling you the programs used for this class; I have used the emulators Nebula version 2.22a and NeoRageX (note: for more advanced games past 1999 you will need NeoRageX .08).  You will also need ROMs for these emulators of games of your choice.  I will also add at this time that ROMS are infact illegal to use and that making fakeshots is no justification for piracy, while generally you're not going to get arrested for using ROMS once or twice if you do intend on keeping them it is a good suggestion to buy the actual cartridge. That said and done let me continued on the required software, you will also need Microsoft Photo Editor, Microsoft Paint, and Adobe Photoshop Editor. Ok show let me show you how I fakeshot.  First I think of something that sounds interesting... I decide I would like to see a Capcom vs. Snk scene using Last Blade and Darkstalkers characters... and for shits and giggles I'll use a Darkstalkers Background... anyone.

I load up Vampire Savior2, put it in 2 player mode.

I put the two characters a far distance apart.

I then click on Emulation and then Pause.

With the game now paused I then go to Video, CPS 2, and then Shots Factory.

With Shots Factory open I go down to where it say "sprites" and click on "None" notice how the characters are now gone.

I then click on "Take a Shot" and I now have a background for my picture.
