How does UV Purification Work

Light is classified into three wavelength ranges. UV light is in blue end of the specturm along with X-ray and gamma-rays. The light rays at this end of the specturm are very heat instensive rays. It is becuase of this heat that UV light kills bacteria, viruses and molds. The water to be treated is passed into a self-contained stainless steel chamber to prevent any emition of the harmful rays. The water is passed through the chamber by a glass column, positioned above this column is the UV lamp. As the water pass by the lamp it is instintly purified. The only electrcity should is for the UV lamp, which only takes about 40 watts. The water is moved through the system by gravity.
