Loblolly Pine
Pinus Taeda

The Loblolly Pine is an evergreen with leaves than can grow from 6-9 inches, with each having three yellow-green needles. Males have a long, cylindrical red-yellow flower. Females have yellow-purple. The Pine has a red-brown ovaloid cone with short spines, each being roughly 3-6 inches. The bark is brown when young, and they turn a reddish tint as they grow.
