BENTON HARBOR RIOTS

                                                        There is a lot I have experienced during the riot that occurred in Benton Harbor MI. Lots of things have happen that I seen with my own eyes.  I seen windows busted out and even a little girl got hit in the face with a cinder block because of angry mobsters.  The riot was right down the street from my house.  This al happen because a man was killed by a police officer when he was chasing him.  It caused a major disturbance in the neighborhood.  Many police forces surrounded the whole area for at least a week and you had to be in the house at a certain time or you could get arrested. 

    It was very messed up because you couldn't even go down the block to take a glimpse of anything.  They discriminated anybody who had on a white t-shirt because the person that got killed his name was t-shirt and they would think was part of the riot.  Stones was thrown at the police which made the riot real crazy.  One good thing about the riot is that Benton Harbor finally got some notice from the other states and we was was on television.  Another good thing is that we finally got noticed because Benton Harbor is a small town in Michigan.  I also witnessed buildings burned down and not there anymore.  This riot characterized this city ad a vad city to live in,  which made the police crack down on more crimes  happening here. .
