The Downside of playing Saxophone and Piano
Anyone not in band will think you are a brass instrument.... including those pianists who are too good for band
Few people in your band know that "double forte" is really fortissimo
Felow band members will think you're being perverted when you properly pronounce pianist (pee-uhnist) not pee-ah-nist
This really get's in the way when you have a midwestern accent and tend not to pronounce your Ts
You ruin the spring tension in your keys on your saxophone from pressing down hard when you play loud (bad piano habit)
Your piano teacher yells at you for playing so loud during marching season
Fellow pianists don't know what a mellophone is when you tell them about your worst enemy
the curved piano hand position screws up your flat handed saxophone hand position
You flat handed sax hand position screws up your curved piano hand position
