How to improve better acceleration.
Sometimes you ever wonder of ways to improve your vehicle's acceleration from static speed. There's some tips that are proven to be reliable that you can follow. This mini modification are approved legal on the road.
For electronic fuel injection vehicles. (EFi )
1. Change your header from stock headers (2-1) to 4-1. This header (4-1) will improve better acceleration because fuel burning activity are more detailed than the stock 2-1 header. This is because that fuel from the carburetor are divided into more smaller amounts in a pipe and the burning of the fuel will be more efficient. Thus, will increase acceleration.
2. Change your air intake from the stock ones to the close-port type, namely powerflow. These powerflow intakes are more efficient in inhaling cold air and the filter can somehow cool the air a bit. Available brands such as HKS, Trust, Simota and many more are sold at most accessories shop nowadays. Prices depend on the size of the powerflow and your vehicle engine displacements.
3. Create a small compartment for your air intake so that it will gather more cool air. The cooler the air that enters the carburetor the more efficient the engine will be. For tips on how to create your own intake box click here...
4. Change your muffler or exhaust system to the straight flow system. This is also applicable to non-efi engines. Consult your mechanic on this matter. Most straight flow exhaust system are available in most car exhaust workshops. Do not purchase exhaust from the car accessories shop. These are only for ALL SHOW only. They look good but it doesn't improve anything.

How to improve better top-end/top speed.
1. Change your header from the stock 2-1 headers to 4-2-1 headers. The extra 2 piping are to burn excess fuel that are not yet fully burned from the 4 piping. This will increase better fuel burning system and thus increase top speed and performance.
*For the intakes and the exhaust system, you still can use as above.

What to choose on a tire.
1. When changing a tire, make sure it is the tire that suits your country's climate. Mostly our climate in Malaysia, we normally go for intermediate tires, as they can be used on wet and dry surfaces.
2. Climates that have cold and warm seasons, purchase tires that specifically for dry and wet surface.
3. Dry tires are more slick than wet tires.
4. Wet tires have more grids as their function is to provide waterway to the side of the tire. Thus making the surface underneath the tire as dry as possible. As a result, traction is better here.
